    Pharma jobs
    Pharmaceutical companies in India growing exceptionally well. The main reason of growing pharmaceutical business in India is because of its less cost and best quality compared to other countries. Now Indian Pharmaceutical industry is most powerful played in the world. An average Indian Pharmaceutical industries revenue is approximately Rs. 40,000 crores and it is expected to grow further to one lack crores by 2020. India exports generic drugs to more than 200 countries including America. As per USFDA, approximately 30% of total generic drug approvals were given to Indian Pharmaceuticals by FDA and it is further growing.
    Now coming to job opportunities in pharmaceutical companies, generally companies recruit pharmacy graduates and post graduates for different job roles. There will be various departments that work together to make drugs. The departments namely manufacturing (production), quality control, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, analytical industrial microbiology and pharma marketing.
    Pharma technical expertises are required to perform pharmaceutical related jobs. Being knowledge based industry; there is numerous availability of jobs and opportunities for pharmacy graduates in pharmaceutical companies and government sector.
    Here are the various departments and its job description
    Production (Manufacturing) :-
    The Manufacturing section includes jobs that involve duties associated with the manufacturing process development, fermentation, fill/finish, packaging, labelling. Production jobs must be performed as per cGMP Guidelines. The following are examples of jobs or job functions that are under production jobs:

    The pharmaceutical production companies usually graduates of pharmacy experience and no experience in manufacturing will be considered for this kind of jobs. Working in manufacturing units is interesting involves challenges and responsibilities yet there are plenty chances of promotions to higher positions like managers or directors.

    Quality assurance (QA) can be divided into major areas: development, quality control, production, distribution, and inspections. Major responsibility of QA is checking of respected drug samples of production to find out whether the product is in compliance with standards. As per the WHO the following are the job responsibilities who work in Pharma Quality assurance.

    Quality Control:
    QC
    Quality Control (QC) department will ensure the pharmaceutical products are pure, safe and effective. The drug products will released only after systematic examination as per approved methods, procedures, specifications and according to international guidelines viz. EU cGMP, MHRA, WHO, TGA, etc. QC will make the quality of pharma drugs by the analysis of API, finished products, packaging and related materials.
    The graduates with aptitude in analysis of pharmaceuticals and handling of sophisticated instruments find the job interesting. There are promotional scopes too from Quality Control chemists to Quality Assurance Manager.There are private and independent drug testing laboratories too.
